'Living near Roundhay Park
offers constant inspiration and I particularly enjoy aiming to capture the
beauty of Beech trees. I love their
sculptural qualities and variegated textures and colours. Favourite painters of the moment are Hashim
Akib and Chris Forsey who both use really vibrant colours and bold
brushwork. I work in acrylics because I’m impatient and appreciate their quick drying ability and
forgiving nature'.
